Course Objective

This course aims at providing basic knowledge in Andrology and semen preparation techniques. Each candidate will be guided hands on by an expert.

• Equipment handling and its uses.
• Media Handling.
• Semen collection, delivery and method of collection.
• Macroscopic examination.
• Microscopic examination for count and motility.
• Morphology evaluation.
• Sperm preparation techniques for IUI, IVF and ICSI.
• Recent advances in Male Infertility.
• Advanced semen Assessment Techniques (DFI,MFA,MACS,PICSI).
• Trouble shooting methods to improve IUI success rates.

Eligibility

• Medical graduate or Post-graduates, in an appropriate area of life sciences.
• Applicant with a B Sc (Bachelor of Science) or BV Sc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) degree, BHMS, MSc Graduates will be acceptable for training.
• Nurses/Medical laboratory Technologists are also eligible
